RSS divers to graduate from U.S. Navy Dive training
Bridgetown, Barbados, Wednesday, July 1, 2009 –Divers from the United States Navy have just concluded training classes for thirty-three members of the Regional Security System at the Barbados Coastguard Headquarters Pelican Base, Spring Garden, St. Michael.
The classes, which started on June 10, 2009, were conducted by a crew from the Mobile Diving and Salvage Unit 2 of the United States Navy.
On Thursday July 2, 2009 at 3:30p.m there will be a graduation ceremony at the headquarters of the Barbados Coastguard for the course participants. Chargé d’Affaires of the U.S. Embassy D. Brent Hardt will deliver remarks as well as Coordinator of the Regional Security System Grantley Watson.
