Consular Officer to hold office hours for Americans in Dominica
A Consular Officer from the United States Embassy in Barbados will visit Dominica on Tuesday May 12, 2009, in Portsmouth and Wednesday May, 13, 2009, in Roseau.
He will hold office hours from 8:00 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday May 12, 2009, at Ross Medical University in Portsmouth.
He will hold office hours from 8:00 am to 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday May 13, 2009, at the Peace Corp Offices in Roseau.
An appointment is required to meet with the Consular Officer. To make an appointment for Portsmouth, please call Ross University at (767) 255-6254 or (767) 275-5342. To make an appointment for Roseau, please call the U.S. Embassy in Barbados at (246) 227-4193 between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. The Consular Officer will be providing American Citizen Services and taking applications for U.S. passports, but will not be available to discuss visa issues.
Fees are: child’s passport (under 16) US$85, first adult passport US$100 (fee payable by international money order or bank draft only, made out to “U.S. Embassy, Barbados”). All passport applicants who cannot present a previous ten-year passport issued less than fifteen years ago must have an interview. Persons seeking to renew a ten-year passport issued less than 15 years ago, and who can present the expired passport, may apply by mail directly to the Embassy; the fee is US$75. Both parents must come with a child under 16 if both are listed on the birth certificate. Bring present passport, birth certificate and copy of certificate, parents’ passports and copies of first signature pages, and two U.S. passport-size photos. In addition to the passport fees, each applicant must provide a prepaid, addressed express mail airway bill so that the passport can be mailed back to you.
The fee for a report of birth is US$65. For notarial services, the first notarial is US$30 and each additional notarial costs US$20.
