HSV2 Swift Urban Raid Training and graduation
Bridgetown, Barbados, Thursday, March 19, 2009 – Local and regional military and police officials participating in training being conducted by the crew of the HSV2 Swift will stage a major simulation exercise in Urban Raids and Tactics.
The event takes place at the old Earth Station building at Congor Bay, St. John at 10: a.m. on Friday March 20th, 2009.
Later in the afternoon participants will gather at Pelican Base, headquarters of the Barbados Coastguard for a graduation ceremony at 2p.m.

The HSV2 Swift is on its second deployment to Barbados for the year as part of Southern Partnership Station an annual deployment of various specialty platforms to the U.S. Southern Command area of focus in the Caribbean and Latin America.
The mission goal is primarily information sharing with navies, coast guards, and civilian services throughout the region. SPS is comprised of Navy training and support teams, Marine Corps training teams, foreign naval officers and civilian contract mariners on a Military Sealift Command platform.
