U.S. Embassy, Barbados hosted an Iftaar (September 8, 2009)
The U.S. Embassy in Bridgetown hosted an Iftar for the Barbadian Islamic community at the Accra Beach hotel on September 8, 2009 to celebrate the Muslim Holy Month of Ramadan. More than 30 people representing all of the Islamic centers in Barbados attended the festive event, a continuation of the Embassy's outreach efforts to local Islamic communities in support of President Obama's commitment to a new beginning between America and Muslims around the world.
