Small and Medium Enterprise Development as a Tool for Job Creation

American Businessman, Charlie “Chuck” Mills III, delivered the lecture on Small Business Growth and Development, at Pelican Village, Bridgetown, on Monday August 17, 2009, as part of the U.S. Embassy’s Strategic Speakers Program.

He said that entrepreneurs need to be passionate about their business. They should also have a clear business plan and measureable goals if they hope to make a success of their enterprises.

Additionally, Mills sought to help his audience identify resources and opportunities in the United States, such as vendors who may be interested in importing their products and American companies interested in exporting to Barbados.

“Chuck” Mills, is the founder and CEO of Salera Capital Management, a company set up to assist small and medium sized enterprises in the US.
