US Embassy, Military Liaison Office and Crew of USS Hawes Make Donation to Home
The Foreign Service Nationals (locally employed staff) of the US Embassy in Barbados has started a partnership with the Child Care Board to aid the Nightingale Children’s Home in meeting its needs. The staff kicked off this project entitled ‘Embassy in the Community’ on Friday July 03, 2009, with help from the Military Liaison Office and the naval ship USS Hawes that arrived in the island that morning. The ship provided a humanitarian donation of foodstuff, non-perishables and sanitary items for the 22
children at the home.
