Drug Enforcement Administration Bridgetown Country Office

The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) office in Barbados, the DEA Bridgetown Country Office, falls under the DEA Caribbean Division based in San Juan, Puerto Rico.  The DEA Caribbean Division includes Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and six other DEA country offices, including Jamaica, Haiti, the Dominican Republic, Curacao, Trinidad & Tobago and Suriname.

The Caribbean region is a major transit corridor for illicit drugs departing South America destined for the United States and Europe. The mission of the DEA Bridgetown Country Office is to identify, disrupt and dismantle the major drug trafficking organizations operating within its area of responsibility, which includes Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados, Dominica, Grenada, Martinique, Guadeloupe, St. Lucia, St. Kitts and Nevis, and St. Vincent and the Grenadines. To support this mission, DEA also supports non-enforcement programs aimed at reducing the availability of illicit drugs on the domestic and international market
